  • INTRODUCTION

Glucagon-like peptide 1 is a potent stimulator of glucose-dependent insulin release, which is secreted from enteroendocrine L cells throughout the gastrointestinal tract and also secreted in selected neurons in the brain. It can stimulate insulin release in response to IL6 and has growth-promoting activities on intestinal epithelium. GLP1 may also regulate the hypothalamic pituitary axis (HPA) via effects on LH, TSH, CRH, oxytocin, and vasopressin secretion.
The Fc-tag can extend the half-life of recombinant proteins in vivo by interacting with the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), reducing their clearance from the bloodstream. Therefore, adding an Fc tag to Leptin enhances its pharmacokinetic properties in therapeutic protein research.

  • FORMULATION

    Lyophilized at 1 mg/mL in NaCl 300mM, KCl 2.7mM, Na2HPO4 10mM, KH2PO4 1.8mM, pH 7.4.

  • APPLICATION/ USAGE

Cell culture, animal studies, ELISA and Western blotting.

  • QUALITY CONTROL TEST

BCA to determine quantity of the protein.
SDS PAGE to determine purity of the protein.

  • STORAGE

Store lyophilized protein at –20°C. Aliquot reconstituted protein and store at –80°C. Avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles.
