Polyclonal antibody against Mouse PLA2G7
Size: 100 μg
Host: Mouse
INTRODUCTION
Phospholipase A2 Group VII (PLA2G7) is also known as Platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase (PAF-AH) and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase (Lp-PLA2). PLA2G7 is a secreted calcium-independent glycoprotein encoded by the PLA2G7 gene which belongs to the phospholipase A2 superfamily. In humans, PLA2G7 is mainly bound to low-density lipoprotein (LDL) (80%). PLA2G7 is mainly produced by hematopoietic cells. This enzyme plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and is involved in the hydrolysis of membrane phospholipids. Increased plasma PLA2G7 levels have been found as a good predictor for cardiovascular diseases.
